Twin Bed Trestle FAQs
You receive two high quality Baltic Birch “trestles” for the two twin beds in your Airstream. We also include Installation (fastened to your wood platform with high quality screws) if you are in the Clemson, South Carolina area. We will include installation within a 50 mile radius. If you decide to stay from 51 to 100 miles from Clemson, we would charge $50 for travel. Look for a list of campgrounds on this website in our area soon.
We secure your “Trestles” to your wood mattress base using high quality wood cabinet screws.
Internal measurements are about 3.25 inches. Exterior rail height is about 4 inches. Plenty to hold your mattress in place. If you would like something more custom, let’s talk.
Trestles are precision-crafted twin bed platforms enhancing comfort and style in Airstream trailers (2009-present models like Flying Cloud, Globetrotter, International, and Special Editions). CNC router cut and hand-built by expert cabinet makers, they provide superior mattress support, prevent rolling off the bed, prevent the twin-bed-slide, and elevate your RV camping with a custom, high-quality upgrade.
Due to the meticulous hand-crafting process and high demand among RV campers, orders typically ship within 2-4 weeks. Order early to align with your travel plans, and we’ll provide a detailed timeline upon purchase and we can install them in one-piece for you in the South Carolina Upstate.
Great question. We prefer to install them locally for you. Of course, we understand that can’t happen all the time, so yes, we can ship. We will have to cut the units down to conform to standard shipping prices. Anything over 72 inches is considered oversized and is charged an enormous “oversized” fee. Currently, our shipping upcharge is $450 for the two units. We do include comprehensive installation instructions for those who feel handy enough to install the Trestle units themselves.
No! Trestles are designed for easy installation by RV enthusiasts. CNC precision ensures a perfect fit, and each platform comes with clear instructions and hardware. Most setups take under an hour, and our Two Pillow Honey team is available for support upon request.

Absolutely!
Trestles are designed for 2009-present Airstream Flying Cloud, Globetrotter, International, and select Special Edition models with twin bed layouts. Contact the Two Pillow Honey team with your trailer’s model and year to ensure a perfect fit.
Right now we are focusing on quality twin bed Trestles for the Airstream twin bed models. We are looking at adapting our superior product to other models in the future.
Absolutely. Built with high-grade RV compatible materials, including Baltic Birch ply and durable laminates, Trestles are CNC-cut for strength and hand-finished to withstand the rigors of RV travel. They’re made to last through your adventures.
Each Trestle weighs 27 pounds. So, the twins weigh a total of 54 pounds.
We can add matching laminate to the rail for your Trestle. The added cost will be $300. To be candid, our bedding covers the rail most of the time, so the matching laminate isn’t necessary. In fact, most of our customers rather have the quality wood with the clear coat show through.
We will soon include campsite options within a 50 mile radius of Clemson, South Carolina. For an added $50 fee, we will travel to a campground within 100 miles. Let’s talk if you have a club that would like to purchase a few at a time. We’ve been known to travel out of state to install several Trestles at your club event!
